What's the point on commenting when you're grey on everything?

For some reason I’m now grey on Gizmodo, either some editor got angry and set me grey or it’s some Kinja bug with the new layout (Either sounds fairly realistic).

I’ve been commenting on Gizmodo for 5 years, I’ve never been approved on Sploid, never been approved on any other sub blog other than the community ones (Like Whitenoise), I’m pretty much grey on everything at this point.

Sure, some people click the pending button, but the editors definitely don’t, and only a few people do. And grey normally carries the connotation of newcomer (Which I’m definitely not) so less worthy.

So, what’s the point on commenting anymore? I rarely comment these days as it is, practically close to a stop, that’s because I come on and there aren’t any notifications...because nobody reads the comments/bothers replying, already I’m subconsciously not bothering to contribute.

Plenty of other people who make worthwhile comments are still in the grey, how often do people get approved? Either get rid of this decent system or actually use it and approve people (I say decent because I think it makes sense, just the editors are too fucking lazy to use it).

Edit: And I don’t mean this as a beg for attention...there’s just no point commenting if it’s somehow just for myself.
