Last one out of the Kinjaverse, turn out the lights.

This is RokBlok

RokBlok - a “turntable” that’s heavy on the turn but light on the table. It’s currently on Kickstarter and has somehow managed to exceed their goal of $50k.

The device supposedly works by winding its way around the record in a circular motion, and the needle helps guide it along while playing the track via an internal speaker (terrible sounding) or paired to a Bluetooth speaker. Having all of that packed into the box makes me think that it’s probably a wee heavy to be skating around a good piece of vinyl.

While the concept, their videos make this thing appear very fake. Hell, even the GIF above engages my bullshit meter just looking at the path the thing takes around that record.

Thoughts? I remain skeptical.
