It’s your weekly Photo Gallery! Come on in, take a look at what people have been up to over the past week and share some of your own photos.
They don’t need to be taken with a fancy camera or works of art. Share any SFW photos you’ve taken with even the poorest of potatoes. Of course we love to see that arty stuff too.
Took care of some maintenance and repairs on my car this week before I had to take it in for state inspection. The horn and reverse lights had stopped working. They are on the same fuse so I figured that was the culprit. Visually checked fuse and it appeared fine. Hmmm.
Next likely cause would be the neutral safety switch. So I set upon replacing that.
I replaced all the shifter linkage bushings while I was at it. Shifter had a lot of slop and you had to kind of wiggle it to get the gear to engage.
Figured they were probably worn. Turns out they were long gone.
Rebushed! But still no reverse lights. Befuddled, I replace the fuse for the heck of it. Turns out that was it the whole time, and I did a whole bunch of work for nothing. The shifter bushings made a huge difference, so it wasn’t a complete waste of time at least.
The horn will still need to get replaced because it sounds half dead, but it was good enough to get it through inspection. Wooooo!
With that done, I went out for a walk.
Found a cool tree.
And a cool dead tree.
And a cool little tree.
Another cool little tree.
I don’t know what this is. Some variety of moss I suppose. Cool looking though.
Waiting for Bigfoot.
A little further down the trail, I found this beautiful and interesting area. Strapped a camera to my head and recorded myself walking around.
It was beautiful there. I’ll need to return when the foliage is back.
This root bridge is so neat.
For a while there, the light was perfect. No noise but the running water and the occasional bird. It was a nice place to be.
I had to leave eventually.
I took the long way home.
