Took the Mercedes out for a decent drive for the first time since getting the floor repaired on it. Of course I had to stop and take a walk somewhere.

These car always appear in much nicer condition than they are in photographs. Parked it at a trail entrance and explored the area for a little while.

I love this tree. Drive through this area pretty frequently and I’ll always slow down when going by. I’ll have to come back and get a picture during the summer, because this thing looks awesome sitting in a field of grass and wildflowers.

The section of road that passes the tree. From the road is the only place you can get a picture of the tree during the warmer months. Unless you want ticks. And snakes. And enjoying wading through pricker bushes(which is difficult enough in their dwindled winter numbers).

Done admiring a field of dead grass and a lonely tree, I walked back through the bramble and towards a trail. Cool little old shack.

I was off the trail a bit just looking around when I almost stepped on this cool little blue flower(striped squill).
