Garageband no longer supports Podcasts!

Yes, folks - with the newest version of Garageband, Apple no longer provides support for podcasts.

Now, this does not mean people cannot create podcasts with the program; however, it does not allow you to open previous podcast formats that were created in the previous version - nor does it offer the "podcast" format when you open a new project.

I'm not sure why Apple has chosen to remove this option; are they creating a new program specifically for podcasting? Or are they trying to force podcasters to purchase Logic? It just doesn't make any sense, especially considering they created a separate Podcast app for iOS about a year ago, and then updated it with a new version on Oct 22nd. What gives, Apple?

The Mac App Store is full of comments on how upset people are over this loss, which makes me wonder why Apple removed this support. Only time and complaints will tell - maybe Apple will realize how upset people are over this change and we'll have an updated version in the very near future? One can only hope.
