FTL communication!

At last! It looks like we did it, we have found a way to transmit information faster than light. How much faster? Practically “infinite”

As far as I understand it, it revolves around a new nano material with a very important property. It has an index of refraction of zero. Light travelling through this medium essentially goes flat and we are able to manipulate the phase of the wave and have that amplitude change transmit instantly. The photons still travel at the speed of light so there is no violation of physics.

A couple analogs to this would be the following examples.

Electrons travel slowly through a wire, but a charge travels very fast. Or a drop of water travels slow through a pipe but pressure can travel very fast.
