Compilers Matter!

My students keep not following one requirement: code must compile using g++

I've been commenting out #include "stdafx.h" and system("pause") for days now. Equally fun is when they submit stuff that would require a total rewrite to compile.

ETA: I'm also not loving that xcode seems to be more permissive than g++ but isn't as blatantly different as visual studio 'cause it seems to con students into thinking that their stuff will work.

I'm also very tempted to write a manual on how to plagerize properly so that I can legit plead ignorance of it and not have to deal with it. :/

For those who don't speak tech: Compilers are what translate code into something that the machine can run. They're sometimes finicky about what words they'll understand.
