Today, I bought a whole chicken. I don't usually buy whole chickens. I usually get just the chicken breasts, (boneless/skinless, of course), and packages of wings. I buy the occasional tub of gizzards, but thats when I feel like deep frying them for a good time.
But tonight, I bought a whole one. And I roasted it. Little butter and rosemary under the skin, and a box of Stove Top Stuffing to go with it.
I didn't do it for tonight, though. I made it because I love chicken sandwiches. And now I have about 2 pounds of leftover roasted chicken pulled into chunks that I can use for sandwiches next week.
Sometimes, I cook for the leftovers, not for the meal.
