Interesting fact just spouted by the weatherman. If you count the hours spent at or below zero since the official start of winter, this year we have spent 20.1 days below zero.

As of right now, this is the 9th coldest winter on record, and if the current forecast holds true, that number might go up.


We have no chance of hitting the number one spot. That's a winter back in the 1880's. Then the average temp for the winter was 4. So far this year, it's 10. But that might drop to 9, depending on the forecast.

As I type this, at 5:51 pm, it's -5. The high today was -4.

The snow in my back yard is about 3 1/2 to 4 feet deep. Franky, I'll be lucky if the snow pile in my driveway is gone by May first. ('s that big)

Don't get me wrong. I'm not complaining.
