It’s your weekly Photo Gallery! Come on in, take a look at what people have been up to over the past week and share some of your own photos.

They don’t need to be taken with a fancy camera or works of art. Share any SFW photos you’ve taken with even the poorest of potatoes. Of course we love to see that arty stuff too.

Got out for a decently long walk during the week. The ride out to where I wanted to hike was wonderful. Nary another car in sight. That was not the case concerning humans when I got to my destination.

I set out and not 5 minutes in my walk I heard the sound of young hooligans coming up behind me. Not wanting to enjoy their company I hoped for an escape.

A chance at avoiding the unnervingly fast paced punks was presented to me in the way of a fork in the path. Knowing full well the fates would have them choose the same way I was intending to go, I went the other.

Gamble paid off.

Came across a drying up stream that was turning into a moss forest.

Some striking light on some yellow things(golden rod?).

A little further down the blazed trail I came across an unmarked trail that looked like it would bring me back towards the original trail I wanted to go down.

Think I know why it was unmarked. They don’t want people getting tetanus.

Wish I knew the backstory of this thing. There were no trails wide enough for a vehicle to have driven here. Most of the trees aren’t that big, and I know this area was completely clear cut at the beginning of the 20th century. Suppose it’s possible it has been sitting here long enough for the trees to grow up around it.

I was right in that I was brought back to the intended trail. My detour had given the rapscallions enough of a lead that I could continue undisturbed.

Not too far along and this open-air fireplace sits just off the trail.

Took a break here and sat for a bit. Just as I was about to continue on my way I heard it. The unmistakeable noise that is a north New Jersey accent. Not one voice, but a gaggle of them.

These were not the voices of immature young men like the ones I so deftly evaded earlier. No, these belonged to possibly the only thing worse. A group of immature adult men. But I was at least more fleet-footed than this group.

I put my headphones on and scampered off.

This was what I came here for. I knew I didn’t have long so I enjoyed the brief moments I had.

I had underestimated the pace of The Jersey Boys. Just as I was about to put my headphones back on...

jb: “Hey, youse want us to take your picture?”

me: “No. That’s alr....(interrupted)

jb: “That’s how I get all my cameras. ehehehehe.”

me: -_-

The rest of the day was quite enjoyable.

Found a caterpi

Some interesting bark.

Could not have asked for a more beautiful day.
