ZzZzZz......

I apologize. Todays post is going to be short. I was up and gone very early Tuesday morning, and didn't get home until very late, and I'm typing this before I go to bed. It has been not only a long day, but a stressful one.

Long story short: Saturday, my dad fell. He broke some ribs, and had bleeding on the brain. Bleedings stopped, but as anyone who has ever broken/cracked ribs, it's very painful. Right now, they're trying to prevent pneumonia, and also trying to figure out why his kidneys aren't outputting any liquid.

As a result of dads accident, I will be traveling back and forth from my home to the hospital where he is, 1 1/2 hours away. So, on days when I'm home because of work, like tomorrow, I'll be able to have a normal post. On days I go see dad, you'll get a short post.

And, if there's no post.....well....we won't even discuss that.

And now that I've vented, on to todays short, but strange, oddity.

Norway. Arguably the most democratic country in the world. Freedom is rampant in Norway. The Norwegian government seems almost afraid to even give the impression they might possibly consider denying a citizens right to anything.

North Korea. There's no argument. They are the least democratic country in the world. You have no freedom, except in death. And even that's debatable. The government will oppress you for any reason. You have no freedom.

Norway and North Korea. Two countries that couldn't be farther apart, politically.

They are separated by only one country: Russia.

Look at a globe if you don't believe me. Both Norway and North Korea share a border with Russia.

So, you must be thinking to yourself, "How big is Russia?".

It's big.

Well, Russia is bigger than Pluto.

Pluto has 1.665 x 10 to the power of 7 km squared of surface area.

Russia has 17,098,242 km squared surface area. That's 1.710 x 10 to the power of 7 km squared.

And, if you think those are hard to believe, then chew on this: Canada is closer to Africa than America is. And Maine is the closest US state to Africa.

Look at a globe.

Chew on those, and I'll have a better post tomorrow.
