I just noticed that Kaila Hale-Stern has returned to the Gawker Media fold. She's not yet listed on the masthead, but it looks like she's doing the community relations, kinjarrific posts for Gizmodo, much the same as Ria Misra has done on io9 for the past year or so.

When she was with Gawker before, I don't think anyone would say that Kaila didn't go above and beyond in service to the community. I've also felt that though io9 has always had a great relation with their readers, the fact that Annalee funded a Community Editor in a public role showed that she understood the commenters' role for a successful blog. It looks like with the addition of Kaila, she's bringing that same sensibility to Gizmodo and WhiteNoise.

Congrats to Ms. Hale-Stern. If I may be so presumptuous: welcome home.
