Deputies charged three teenagers on Saturday in an animal cruelty case, according to a news release.
Kalob Jennings Hubbard, 18, of 7696 Stonewell Lane, in Tobaccoville, Jared Raymond Rose, 17, of 109 Glenwood Lane, in King, and an unidentified juvenile set an opossum on fire and killed it, according to Forsyth County Sheriff's deputies.
The investigation began when deputies learned of a video posted on a social media site, showing the three capturing the opossum and setting it on fire using an accelerant.
Hubbard and Rose each face one felony count of animal cruelty. Both were lodged in the Forsyth County jail on $10,000 bonds.
